My husband and I want to rent a small camper and take a four day road trip to New Mexico (we're in Texas). We've never rented one and would like any input/advice. We plan on taking our 2 dogs.

What could we plan to pay and is the cab of the camper big enough for 2 people and 2 dogs? Can the dogs be in the camper while driving?

Campers USA can help you with all of your questions. There should be plenty of "Camper USA" rental lots in AZ. I can tell you that in 2002 there was a rental fee, insurance, AND 75 cents per mile charge. A decent camper will get around 10-12 mpg. Ya better have a bit of dough. Sounds like fun!
