Facilities at the 22 acre Camp Ernst Lake include a handicapped accessible fishing pier, picnic areas and fishing. It is regularly stocked with bluegill and catfish. Trolling motors only are permitted.

Central park is a 121 acre park that opened in the spring of 1994. It offers 2.35 miles of paved trails through wooded and open areas. It has a children’s garden, wetlands and is home to the Arboretum at Central Park.
Born Learning Trail: United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Boone County Success by Six and the Boone County Fiscal Court partnered in launching this interactive trail as a way to help parents find fun learning moments at the neighborhood park. Young children can learn about the A–B–Cs, shapes and animals by walking along this trail in Central Park.

England–Idlewild Park was dedicated in 2000. This 290 acre park offers three fishing ponds that are regularly stocked with bluegill and catfish. It features wooded and open areas as well as wetlands.

The Florence Nature Park provides 15 acres of green space with walking and picnicking areas. It is located off of Banklick Street in Florence.

Fox Run Park is a 5 acre neighborhood park at the end of Woodside Drive in Florence.

Giles Conrad park is a 43 acre park that was dedicated in the Spring of 2004. It is the first park in the County with a river view. It provides 1.3 miles of paved, level trail that connects river bank overlooks and large open green space.

Gunpowder Park has 122 wooded acres. It features an unpaved upgraded 1800’s logging trail that travels from an elevation of 830 feet to 620 feet and ends near Gunpowder Creek at a stone seating area. The park also has a stand of mature oaks on the northern hillside that is one of the best remaining undisturbed areas of woodland in the region.

Lincoln Woods is a charming 13 acre park in the heart of Florence. It has shaded areas for picnics and green space for informal play.

Middle Creek Park opened in 1993 and is 230 acres of pristine forest with wildflowers, wildlife and unpaved moderate to difficult trails available for hiking and horseback riding. This park is closed during deer/gun hunting season.

Oakbrook Park is a 3–acre neighborhood park off of Oakbrook Drive in Burlington. It has picnic facilities and green space for informal play and family recreation.

Petersburg Community Center houses a library, gym, kitchen and community room. Other amenities include ball field, basketball courts, a playground and a shelter with several picnic tables.
Petersburg Park is a small green space with park benches to enjoy a beautiful view of the Ohio River.

Pete’s Park is .86 acres located in the heart of Burlington. Shaded swings for the children and benches are provided for outdoor enjoyment.

Shor Lake Park is a 5 acre green space located in the industrial park area of Richwood. It’s large fishing lake is stocked regularly with catfish and bluegill. It also has picnic tables for a peaceful time beside the lake.

Union Pool is a wonderful swimming facility located in Union. Season passes may be purchased or you may pay a daily entry fee. Swimming lessons are available as well as joining the swim team.
The pool opens for the season around Memorial Day and closes on Labor Day. It’s hours are Monday through Sunday from noon until 8:00 pm, and on holidays from noon until 6:00 pm. Call 859–334–3232 or 859–384–3900 during the season for more information.

Waller Stephenson Mill Park is a 238 acre joint project between the Walton–Verona Schools and Boone County Parks. For the general public, there are 4.7 miles of unpaved trails running through old growth forest at the back of the property. The athletic facilities and fields at the front of the park are owned and operated by the Walton–Verona Schools and can be used only at certain times with their permission*.

Walton Community Park is a 30 acre park with two large playgrounds for children and a gentle paved walking trail. There are picnic facilities and open green spaces as well as a charming gazebo for the public’s enjoyment.
